Customer Responsibility
As a customer of The Shine Academy, it is your responsibility to read and understand all information provided on the booking page, including suitability requirements such as age and year group. By completing your booking, you confirm that your child meets the stated criteria.
While The Shine Academy will review bookings where possible, we cannot guarantee to verify the suitability of every booking. It remains the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure that their child meets the stated age and year group requirements.
Any errors made during booking are subject to our standard cancellation and refund policy outlined below.
Payment Terms
Full payment must be received at point of booking for holiday courses, and/or within 7 days of invoice for term programmes. Your child's place will only be secured once payment has been received by The Shine Academy.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, please email us at admin@theshineacademy.co.uk.
You will have the following options:
- 14 days or more before the start of a holiday course
You will be offered either:
- A full refund less the Stripe payment processing fee at the time; or
- A credit note which can be used within 6 months on any Shine course.
- Less than 14 days before the start of a holiday course
Refunds or credit notes will not be provided.
- 14 days or more before the start of a term programme
You will be offered either:
- A full refund less the Stripe payment processing fee at the time; or
- A credit note which can be used within 6 months on any Shine course.

- Once the holiday course or term programme has started
No refunds or credit notes will be provided.
Illness and Absence
We are unable to offer refunds or credits for missed classes due to illness, injury, or any other personal circumstances. However, for our term programmes, we will provide one make up session for each student each term based on availability.
