This course lays the foundation for success in 11+ writing, focusing on the composition types most commonly set in entrance examinations. The main areas of study are descriptive and narrative writing, although students will also explore autobiographical and persuasive writing.
We will focus closely on ‘what good looks like’ from an examiner’s perspective, including how to incorporate elements such as tension, suspense and atmosphere to ensure each piece of writing stands out. Students will be guided through every stage of the writing process, from planning and structuring ideas to editing and refinement.
