Our engaging curriculum keep kids coming back for more, even as they grapple with some of the most rigorous math problems available anywhere. We use the rigorous study of mathematics as a vehicle to develop our students’ math fluency, intellect, and character, empowering them for life. If you would like your child to embrace math as a problem-solving tool they'll use for the rest of their life, Shine will take them there.
Our courses are built on extensive research based on the UK National Curriculum and exam requirements at different levels, Shanghai maths teaching techniques and systems and the seven core maths competencies. We want our students to look forward to their next lesson and there is no better approach than peer-to-peer learning.
Shine's Approach
We have categorised questions from over 200 past and sample 7+, 8+ and 11+ exam papers, and deliver these in topic specific sessions. Our courses are designed to prepare children for both primary and secondary school admission exams - 7+, 8+, and 11+.
Our groups are c.6 students split based on ability. To secure a place, full payment must be received by the start of the term.
Why Shanghai Methodology?
Shanghai Maths embodies the belief that every child can do well if they are taught well. We have taken the principles and systems of Shanghai Maths and applied it to the UK curriculum to design a programme that helps them to develop a maths mindset for analysis and problem solving.

Holiday Reasoning Programme
Shine's reasoning workshops teaches the key techniques and tools to improve students VR and NVR abilities. We provide courses for students in Years 4-6 who are looking to improve their CAT scores or prepare for ISEB or CEM pre-tests.
